Continuing our roundups of some of the best shows we’ve reviewed for BWW Cabaret in 2024, we put together a list of nine of our favorite winter holiday concerts from the past holiday season.

MAD Theatre of Tampa proudly presents Rock of Ages, the high-energy, feel-good musical that takes audiences on a rock-and-roll journey back to the 1980s. Opening January 16 and running through February 2, 2025, this electrifying production will light up the Shimberg Playhouse at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts.

Meet the Franks! Max Chernin and Talia Suskauer are getting ready to hit the road in the national tour of Parade. Watch in this video as the pair chats more about how they manifested sharing the stage together, how they are getting ready to tour the country, and so much more.

What happened over the seven consecutive shows, was indeed a Christmas miracle. There was plenty of laughter and tears, and intimate interaction with the audiences. It is simply the “must-see” holiday event of the season.

The New York Pops are always a delight to watch and this year’s holiday show, Merry and Bright, featuring guest vocalist Jessica Vosk, was no exception. The 12/20 and 12/21 show at Carnegie Hall continued the Pops' annual holiday tradition.

There was plenty of old-fashioned fun at the Randy Andy’s Holiday Spectacular. The trio’s 12/19 show featured plenty of special guests, song, dance and enough laughter and holiday cheer to keep you warm all through New Year’s.

The holiday season is in full swing at The Joint Comedy Theater, located at 301 Main Street in North Little Rock! The Main Thing Comedy Trio—featuring my favorite comedians, Steve Farrell, Vicki Farrell, and Brett Ihler—brings the uproarious Fertle family to life in A FERTLE HOLIDAY this Friday and Saturday and again on New Year’s Eve, where they’ll host a spectacular party complete with catering, champagne, and live music to ring in the new year in style. 

These days the Nutcracker can take many forms, from funny to sultry, and everything in between. That is the case with The Hard Nut presented by BAM and Mark Morris Dance Group in Brooklyn. Based on the book by E.T.A. Hoffmann, The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, this dance performance is a fun and wacky time for all, including family and children even with those sexual innuendos thrown in there for the adults.

An evening at Toby’s Dinner And Show in Columbia, Maryland for THE SOUND OF MUSIC is a clutter-free treat for your loved ones. Toby's presents a classic, now entertaining a fourth generation, that feels lush and rich with detail and meaning, and contemporary relevance. An audience favorite since the dawn of the 1960s, this beloved Rogers & Hammerstein standard runs at Toby's through January 12th, 2025.

Duchess, the four-member female harmony group made one night during the week before Christmas full of comfort (zone) and joy with songs from their EP and their retro fun songs.

Storm Large, one of the most uniquely multitalented individuals we have come across in our cabaret adventures opened at 54 Below last night with her annual show titled Holiday Ordeal.
