Stephanie D'Abruzzo is a Tony-nominated actress and puppeteer best known for her work on the Broadway stage and in television. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, D'Abruzzo began her career as a puppeteer and performer at the age of 16, working with local theater companies and children's television programs.



In 1993, D'Abruzzo moved to New York City to pursue her career in theater. She made her Broadway debut in the 2003 production of "Avenue Q," a musical comedy about a group of young adults trying to make their way in the world. D'Abruzzo played the roles of Kate Monster and Lucy the Slut, two of the show's most popular characters. Her performance earned her a Tony nomination for Best Actress in a Musical, as well as a Drama Desk Award and an Outer Critics Circle Award.

D'Abruzzo's success on Broadway led to a number of other opportunities in the entertainment industry. She has appeared in a number of television shows, including "Scrubs," "Sesame Street," and "Wonder Pets!" She has also lent her voice to several animated series and films, including "The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland" and "Muppet Treasure Island."
