North Carolina Opera to Present Verdi's LA TRAVIATA This Month
North Carolina Opera will present Giuseppe Verdi's classic Italian masterpiece, LA TRAVIATA, kicking off their highly-anticipated 2023/24 season. Led by conductor Joseph Mechavich and directed by John Hoomes, this production features a talented cast including Vanessa Vasquez, Jonathan Johnson, and Andrew Manea.

LA TRAVIATA Comes to the National Theatre in Prague in August
Ranking among Verdi’s best-known, most romantic and most tragic operas, La traviata has held the mirror up to society and its hypocritical morals for some 170 years. The terminally ill courtesan Violetta Valéry realises that she must forgo her love for Alfredo Germont, a young man from a respectable family. After abandoning him, she dies in poverty, yet has kept dreaming of the happiness of true love.
Theatre West Adds Screenings For SALOME and CAMILLE
Theatre West has added two additional late-night screening dates for groundbreaking Alla Nazimova films Salomé (1923) and Camille (1921) in conjunction with closing weekend of Theatre West’s currently running production, Garden of Alla: The Alla Nazimova Story.
