2021 marks the return of Scott Swensons one man comedy show, PREACH! 2 The Second Coming: Another Evening of Improvised Inappropriate Sermons. As an actual irreverent reverend (thanks to the internet) Scott takes audiences back to church for even more offensive oration. Every topic is suggested by the audience and fate will decide the order. NOTHING IS OFF LIMITS. This means that every single performance will be uniquely unsavory. In this breakneck 45 minute performance, Swenson will perform sermons, create impromptu members of the congregation, Hymn-porvise a musical number and even flash through a new list of commandments. PREACH! premiered at the Tampa International Fringe Festival in 2019 and received a Venue Choice award as well as being named one of the top 5 revenue generating shows of the festival. Pastor Scott is no stranger to improvisation, having trained with Chicagos Second City and is a founding member of Tampas own WIT Improv. When asked how the last 2 years have changed his feelings about PREACH!, Swenson, said Returning to live performance, especially with a show as unpredictable as this one, could leave me artistically rejuvenated or beaten to a pulp by an angry mobor BOTHwell see.
