“The Little Foxes” (La loba), by Lillian Helman, is a North American drama literature classic. The author savages the unmeasured ambition and lack of scruples of many fierce speculators who became wealthy after the American Civil War, mainly through the cotton industry.
“The role of Regina Giddens, the southern tycoon, condenses greed, manipulation and above all, intelligence for personal gain and enrichment; her conspiracies, her deliberate silences, her calculated affability, her refined psychology, make her one of the most complex and stimulating characters of contemporary theatre”. Ernesto Caballero, author of this version, presents this staging, directed by Gerardo Vera and produced by Juanjo Seoane and the National Drama Centre, in which Nuria Espert plays “The Little Fox”.
