Angels in America, Part Two: Perestroika continues the exploration of identity and community set against the backdrop of the AIDS crisis in 1980s New York City. As characters evolve from the opportunistic milieu of the decade into a more communal consciousness of the 1990s, the play delves into themes of love, loss, and resilience. Following the first part, this installment promises to further develop the interconnected stories of its diverse cast, which includes figures such as Roy Cohn and Ethel Rosenberg. Directed by Tony Estrella, this production is both a culmination of The Gamm Theatre's 40th Anniversary Season and a launchpad for future theatrical endeavors.
