“Always… Patsy Cline,” based on the true story of Patsy Cline’s unlikely yet lasting friendship with Texas fan Louise Seger, features down-home country humor and 27 of Patsy’s unforgettable songs, including “Crazy,” “I Fall to Pieces,” “Sweet Dreams,” and “Walking After Midnight.” In 1961, Cline went to Houston to perform a show. Seger arrived 90 minutes early, attempting to meet and introduce herself to Cline, who was traveling alone. Louise (played by “Hee Haw” and “Happy Days” actress Misty Rowe) and Patsy struck up a friendship that lasted until Cline’s untimely death in a plane crash in 1963. This popular Off-Broadway and touring musical play is based on letters the two long-distance friends exchanged over those two years.
