A note from Mark Coffin who together with Heidi Mueller Smith adapted this wondrous work by Charles Dickens for the theater stage:
"I believe this story is as important and relevant today as it was in 1843, for reasons very clear and obvious to all thinking, feeling people. At its very core it reminds us that we all have the potential to become our better selves. If you can open your heart ... if you can listen ... it is possible that the knowledge you are looking for will come from the most surprising places. People long gone. Or right next to you. Sometimes even in the mirror."
The closing night performance of A Christmas Carol, filmed in 2018, will be streamed on a limited basis from Dec. 23 - Dec. 27.
Proceeds from all ticket sales will go to The Actors Fund, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and The Young Center For Immigrant Children's Rights. Tickets are $12 ($10 minimum donation, $2 for ticketing/payment platform expenses). Those who wish to donate more will also have that option before checkout.
