WARMTH - Midtown International Theatre Festival

Quirky, offbeat comedy with a message.

WARMTH by Diana Rissetto was a finalist in the NJ Playwright's contest, had a sold-out, extended run in Howell, NJ and raised $25,000 for the Jewish Federation of Southern NJ. This will be its New York City premiere.

Dates:

10/26-10/28

Seeking cast of 5 Non-Equity actors to play:

Gemma - 20-40 Sweet, bubbly and neurotic. Well-meaning but a bit of a disaster, dark-haired Catholic kindergarten schoolteacher.

Luke - 20-40 Gemma’s cousin. Her saner voice of reason, but also a comedian. A business man with a flamboyant streak.

Victor - 20-40 Handsome and blonde businessman recently laid-off and thrown into Gemma and Luke’s world.

Lydia - 50-70 Victor's warm Jewish mother who is constantly running into Gemma.

Magdelone - 80s - An elderly Polish Holocaust survivor confronting her past. Good with accents (will also play Holocaust survivors from Belarus, Holland, and Vienna)

First round of auditions will be held on September 15th.
