Casting two roles for an upcoming play in the NY International Fringe Festival! Auditions will be held this coming Sunday, June 12th, from 6-7:30 pm.
SYNOPSIS OF PLAY: A red emergency phone is ringing. On one end? Lowly assistants at Babylon Pictures, a major Hollywood movie studio, left alone to handle some fresh and rapidly escalating damage control. On the other end? North Korea's supreme leader, furious with his depiction in Babylon's latest film, "The Girlish Tendencies of Kim Jong-un". Besieged from all sides, they must contend with a spiraling predicament catapulting them further into a frenzied distortion of modern American culture and the creative process. Throwing shade may be their only way out.
Looking for…
OLIVIA HARPER (30-55); head of studio. Ruthless, ambitious, possibly a sex addict. Think Jane Krakowski from either "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" or "30 Rock". Intimidating, answers to nobody, calls all the shots. Looking for someone with solid comic timing and commanding presence.
BERNARD (30-45); a custodian at the studio. Likable, simpleton, a tad shlubby, means well, but ends up doing more harm than good. Causes a lot of damage. I would think in the realm of actors like Josh Gad or Jonah Hill ("Superbad" Jonah Hill, not "Moneyball" Jonah Hill). Again, comic timing is important.
If right and interested, please email for a time. Thank you!
