Rehearsals begin Sept. 5 in NYC; runs Sept. 20 & 22 in Rochester, NY.
Seeking: Marshall Cutting: late 20s-30s, Intelligent, good-looking, and good-natured, unable to commit. Tenor (to A5)
Orchestrator: 40s-50s, Has the appearance of a strict academic, but very genial, quirky, and fun-loving. She can control time, people, and places. Takes Marshall on his journey. Mezzo-soprano
Victoria: mid-late 20s, Very sweet, practical, and down-to-earth. Has a sense of humor and isn’t afraid to show her imperfections and quirks. Mezzo-soprano
Adil: 20s, Indian-American. Quiet, intelligent, very kind, always tries for the best but is willing to settle for less. Bass-baritone
Sati: 20s, Indian-American. Sheltered and somewhat old-fashioned. Desires greatly to be loved. Mezzo-soprano
Jude: mid-late 20s, Immediate and somewhat needy, yet laid back. Loves to live life. Very sexual. Baritone
Carla: mid-late 20s, She is in life to have a good time. Goes with the flow wherever it may lead her. A very young spirit. Mezzo-soprano/belter
Jason: 30s, Lean, but a little nerdy. Needs to make everything work as well as it can and always wants to please. Baritone
Jeanette: 30s, Grew up in a small town and doesn’t need much, but she must feel satisfied. Mezzo-soprano (to A6)/belter
Seamus: 17, Wants very badly to connect with someone. Bad boy outside with a soft inside. Comfortable with his homosexuality. Baritone
Demitri: 17, Has issues related to not being comfortable with his homosexuality. Flirty. Wants to lose his virginity to someone he loves. Bari-tenor
George: mid-20s, No idea how to connect with people except through what he has observed in popular culture. Rich and pampered, but genuine. Bari-tenor
Rose: mid-20s, Lives in an unrealistic, romanticized, and rich fairytale world. Never thinks things through. Completely head-over-heels for the idea of George. Lyric Soprano
Note: The characters are in couples as follows: Adil/Sati, Jude/Carla, Jason/Jeanette, Seamus/Demitri, George/Rose.
Auditions will be held by appt. only September 4, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Pearl Studios, 500 Eighth Ave., 4th floor, NYC.

Prepare 16-32 bars that show off your voice and range. You may also be asked to read or sing from the show. If cast, you must be available for rehearsals in NYC Sept. 5- Sept. 18 with minimal conflicts (We will do our best to accomadate work schedules). Cast will be in Rochester, NY from Sept. 19-Sept. 22. Travel to, from and within Rochester, housing (home stays), stipend, and two meals provided.
