It takes place one Friday night in a metropolitan area in an apartment and the outside club. It involves the themes of love as a cause of suffering, the uncertainty of gender, and the folly of ambition. A “limerence” is an obsessive like crush.

Seeking-Dickson Coxswain: male, 20-40, all ethnicities. A publisher who falls in love with a woman he meets online, a social, upwardly mobile professional who somehow has found a sedimentary settlement in the ocean of people that exist in the city and a dreadful complacency in the folly of his ambition. Wally Coxswain: male & female 20-40, all ethnicities. Dickson's brother, an Information Technology specialist, tries to help Dickson while looking for true love himself, lives in the same apartment as his brother, likes to go out on the weekend with his girlfriends. Isadora Montgomery: female, 20-40, all ethnicities. She wears clothes that are elegantly refined (to match her disposition), Wally's best friend, visits Wally often, sometimes unexpectedly, and also spends time talking with Dickson. Esther Watkins: female 20-40, all ethnicities. The first member of a bawdy trio consisting of herself, Francine, and Jahnavi, vocal and outspoken, understands and sympathizes with Wally and Dickson's dilemmas. Francine Melvin: female 20-40, all ethnicities. The most realistic of all her friends, a little cynical, is as outspoken as Esther, but disagrees with her on a lot of issues throughout the play, creates a nice contrast to themes she discuses with Esther. Jahnavi Perkins: female 20-40, all ethnicities. She is quiet, but sharp when spoken. Bobby Patterson: male, 20-40, all ethnicities. A man at the club who gets into a fight with Wally, has a typical tough guy persona of a man at the club who is looking to meet women and have a good time, very matter of fact. Attendants: males & females 20-40, all ethnicities. The attendants will be in the background of scenes and will also be possible understudies, they are club-goers and street pedestrians who vary in character.
