Opera company Vocal Productions NYC seeking Male and Female Chorus members! (We are currently recruiting a volunteer chorus for our 2013 production of Ernani, by Giuseppe Verdi.) Performance dates May 29-31, 2013 and June 1, 2013 We will begin our rehearsals which will primarily be Tuesday nights 6 weeks out of the opening dates.
Tenors and Baritones needed! Sopranos and Mezzos are welcome!
At the end of each performance our Artistic and General Director - internationally acclaimed Bass Baritone Valentin Peytchinov offers a free chorus-only Master Class to help you improve and polish your own arias and audition material. (This is a great way to take your next steps as artists into the city as well as put your foot in the door with an opera company!) Vocal Productions is committed to produce the highest caliber of vocal stage experience. We consider it our responsibility to cultivate opportunities to perform a role, conduct an ensemble or accompany a major musical work within positive, nonjudgmental surroundings. These opportunities will expose professional artists to the business of opera and give them a venue in which to display their talents and accomplishments. Additionally, the company's agenda will enhance one's confidence, stagecraft, repertoire and stamina through performance exposure. While emphasis may initially be placed upon operatic opportunities, Vocal Productions plans to expand into other vocal genres such as pop, rock, gospel and jazz. Thus the company encompasses all vocal craft.
