DAMN YANKEES - Off Broad Street Players at the Levoy Theatre

The Off Broad Street Players are producing DAMN YANKEES for the 2013 season opener to pay homage to Millville-native, Mike Trout for his recent achievement as baseball's American League Rookie of the Year. As a community theatre OBSP prides itself on reaching out to our community and embracing the successes of those in the area. DAMN YANKEES is a show about a middle-aged baseball fanatic Joe Boyd who trades his soul to the Devil, also known as Mr. Applegate, for a chance to lead his favorite team to victory in the pennant race against the New York Yankees. As young baseball sensation Joe Hardy, he transforms the hapless Washington Senators into a winning team, only to realize the true worth of the life he's left behind. Joe ultimately outsmarts Applegate, returns to his former self, and shepherds the Senators to the World Series.

Director/Choreographer, John T. Stephan, is seeking a cast of approximately thirty actors and actresses aged 15 and up.

Auditionees should come prepared with 32 bars of music from any other Broadway musical other than Damn Yankees. Resumes and headshots are strongly recommended. It is an exciting show for a a wide range of actors, dancers, and singers.
