CASTING FOR "AISLE SIX," A NEW MUSICAL COMEDY IN THE NYC FRINGE FESTIVAL (performances TBD, between August 11-23, 2013)
AISLE SIX is a musical comedy about a cursed supermarket. When a hideous plague threatens to cripple the Super Duper Store, it's up to a bright-eyed Customer Service trainee to save the day. But is she up to the task? In the darkly comic world of the Super Duper Store, nothing's for certain. But along the way, there will be true love, murder, intrigue, paranoia, adventure and an evil puppet!

Seeking to cast the following principal roles:
SIDNEY TAGLIARINI: M, 20s/30s or able to play this age range. Strong singer. Neurotic but determined, romantic but comic. Privately masquerades as Store Man, the supermarket superhero.
MUSTACHE MANAGER: M, 40s-60s or able to play this age range. Loud, despotic, boorish doofus who runs the Super Duper Store. Deeply paranoid. Must be a strong comedic performer.
FURIES: Three F or M, any age. Night's backup girls.
SUPERMARKET FAIRY/HAPPY VOICE: The beautiful voice on the store loudspeaker, and her human manifestation.
WALT/HONDO: 60s or able to play this age range. Strong singer. Puppetry ability a plus. Walt is a wretched, emotionally crippled veteran store manager (about 65 in the script) who has fallen silent after years of demoralization at the store. Hondo is his hand puppet who was once his emotional crutch but has since become autonomous and decided he hates Walt.
MINI-STACHE: M (preferred) or F, any age. Short stature. Non-singing. The district manager, a tiny man who terrifies Mustache.
SMALL ENSEMBLE of employees, customers, etc. - all will play a few roles each.
