A Grand Night for Singing

for versatile singers who move well for Pittsburgh CLO’s A Grand Night for Singing at the CLO Cabaret.

Who

Male 1: Mid 20’s to 40’s; Leading Man; Baritone (Ab2-F4)

Male 2: Mid 20’s to 30’s; Comic Juvenile; Tenor (B2-G4)

Female 1: Mid 20’s to 40’s; Leading Lady; Soprano (G3-Bb5)

Female 2: Mid 20’s to 30’s; Comic Ingénue; Second Soprano (F3-Ab5)

Female 3: Mid 20’s to 30’s; Soubrette; Alto/Belt (a plus if a dancer) (F3-E5)

Requirements

  • · Auditioners should prepare two contrasting 32-bar vocal selections from the classic, traditional musical theater repertoire. Songs may or may not be from the Rodgers and Hammerstein repertoire, but must show vocal prowess.
  • · Bring legible sheet music in the correct key.
  • · All auditioners must bring a typed resume, a completed audition application and a headshot.
  • · Applications can be downloaded from our website,
    www.pittsburghclo.org/pages/clo_auditions
    or picked up at the audition.
  • · Requests for an audition appointment should be e-mailed to
    CabaretAuditions@pittsburghclo.org
    , and include a preferred time range, which will be honored as sign-ups permit. If e-mail is not available, please call
    412-281-3973 x 234. E-mail is highly preferred.

Performers must be available from October 8 through January 20, 2013.
