Written by Marcia Vidal Nolte Directed by Subin Kara Ahn Constantine is a photographer turned mortician, who took over his dads position after he died. Using social distancing as his main coping method for grief, his routine is disrupted by Esther as she comes down to see her brother one last time. With this encounter, a strange friendship begins, in which we see how they differ in stages and forms of grieving. Unlike Connie, Esther likes having people around, and uses dating apps to shut down her grief. After one of her dates, Esther meets Constantines best friend, Gabe. Esther is determined to help Constantine reconnect and get back on track. But who helps Esther? This play explores interpersonal relationships in my generation, and a different coming of age that comes from grief when youre in early adulthood. Cast: Tony Russo as Constantine, Sarah Tye as Esther, Thomas Kuklenski as Andrew/Gabe. Stage directors read by Cyrus Adams. Virtual stage management by Emily Lafrenière. Donations from this reading will go to New Dramatists (New York) and Juguete Pendiente (Peru).
