[What I liked]
Scenes that stood out to me were the bit about magnums, the interview, the screen writer, the trickster and the owner of the store. Each of the actors who brought these characters to life were very entertaining. The second to last scene about the painting and wanting to be seen was unexpected yet it spoke to the universal truth in a clever and romantic way.
[What I didn't like]
The show felt like it truly started when Hudson’s brother arrived. The energy and the comedy came alive when that actor took the stage and it continued through out the show.
[My overall impression]
This show is cleverly written and presents as a light hearted comedy. The writer pulls you in with comedy but takes you on a ride with the help of his characters to shine a light on several complex issues. Each new character that hits the stage brings another perspective which speaks to today’s society. The actors keep you so engaged in the moment that you are left wanting more.
