Ex-show girl and mistress, Billie Dawn, gets a new lesson on life and love when her corrupt and uncouth junk czar boyfriend hires a newspaper reporter to tutor her in current events, grammar and gentility for mixing with political elite in Washington D.C. As relevant and funny today as when it made its 1946 Broadway debut, "Born Yesterday" still charms with its bittersweet comedy and sardonic look at Washington politics when newly educated Billie Dawn adopts a new view of herself and uncovers her boyfriend's political schemes.
