Music Theatre of Connecticut (MTC), Fairfield County's professional award-winning theatre, announces the return of its summer performance series, MTC’s Hot Summer Nights. As audiences await the start of the 37th MainStage Season in September, which opens with the Tony Award winning musical, Jersey Boys, MTC is here to keep you entertained until then with award-winning local, NYC, and Broadway talent. Performances are on select Saturdays throughout the summer, beginning at 8:00pm (June 24th, July 8th, July 15th, July 29th, & August 5th). This two-act show will feature a 50 minute set of Sue’s longest running show, “Ella & Me” then, after a brief intermission, she will do another 40 minute set of the music of Eydie Gorme and Miss Peggy Lee. This show is composed of jazz standards and American Songbook songs by: Arlen, Mercer, Herman, Gerswhin, Porter, Sondheim, Cahn, Peggy Lee, Kern, Hammerstein, Steve Allen and more.
