Jimmy and Lorraine: A Musing is a poignant exploration of the friendship between iconic writers and activists James Baldwin and Lorraine Hansberry. The play, written by Talvin Wilks, utilizes a blend of biographical texts, personal correspondences, and media clips to reflect on the American political landscape of the late 1950s and early 1960s. Vanessa R. Butler stars as Hansberry, while Jon-Michael Reese takes on the role of Baldwin, with Nick Roesler portraying various characters. The production will run from October 10 to October 19 at Trinity College's Austin Arts Center.
