MOZART Symphony No. 35, “Haffner” BRUCKNER Symphony No. 4, “Romantic” The Cleveland Orchestra Bruckner’s Fourth Symphony opens quietly, with a simple horn call, before bursting into a towering blaze of sound from the full ensemble. The Cleveland Orchestra and Music Director Franz Welser-Möst mark the 200th anniversary of Bruckner’s birth with this magnificent symphony before taking it on tour to Europe. Complementing this is Mozart’s “Haffner” Symphony, an exuberant work that presents the composer at the height of his symphonic powers.
