Set at the end of the 19th century, Dracula is an absurdist adaptation by post-modernist playwright Mac Wellman (A Murder of Crows, The Hyacinth Macaw). Told in a non-linear, sometimes non-sensical manner, this version of Bram Stoker's novel is ripe with temptation, discovery, death and Alicia Keys. This ain't your grandmother's Dracula.... it's more like your crazy drunk uncle's Dracula—the one that believes in vampires and Tom Waits.
