Director Jon M. Chu has confirmed that while the Wicked movie has paused production due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, their respective release dates should not be affected. Production on the film halted on Friday just days before wrapping in the UK, with 'One Short Day' being left to film. Read Chu's statement now!

Universal has shifted the premiere date for the second part of the Wicked movie to a month earlier than its original release date. Wicked stars Ariana Grande as Glinda, Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Ethan Slater as Boq, Marissa Bode as Nessarose, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible and Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard.

WICKED will fly to cities in England, Scotland, Wales, and the Republic of Ireland from December 2023 and producers today confirmed that the previously announced Laura Pick (Elphaba) will be joined by Carl Man as 'Fiyero', reuniting these two former Wicked West End cast members. Boston Conservatory at Berklee Interim Executive Director Lucinda Carver will present an honorary doctorate in person to acclaimed concert pianist Awadagin Pratt and virtually to Emmy-, Grammy-, and Tony-winning actress, singer, author, and producer Cynthia Erivo at the Conservatory's commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 13.

After directing the Wicked movie musical, Jon M. Chu will helm a film adaptation of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat for Amazon Studios. Also known for directing the hit comedy Crazy Rich Asians and the film adaptation of In the Heights, Chu has been 'dreaming' of directing the musical for years.

Ariana Grande has shared a new photo from the set of Wicked, revealing that they are halfway done with filming. Joining Grande as Glinda and Erivo as Elphaba is Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Ethan Slater as Boq, Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum as Madame Morrible and the Wizard, respectively, and Marissa Bode as Nessarose.
